He is also a Microbiology Lead at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine/ Mbarara University of Science and Technology Eye Care Project where he is playing a critical role establishing the Microbiology research Laboratory.

He holds a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from Makerere University, a Diploma in Health Services Management of Kabale University, a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Mbarara University of Science and Technology, a Master of Science from University of Chester in United Kingdom and a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship (Microbiology) from Countess of Chester and Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust, UK. He is a Champion of Strong Health laboratory service in Uganda.
