RADIOGRAPHER/ IMAGING TECHNOLOGIST.

Position. 1

Responsibilities:

• Develop plans and manage operations of the Digital XRay Machine, Ultrasound Machine and any other equipment in the Radiology unit.
• Ensure safety of equipment and all accessories to avoid damage and or theft.
• Ensure proper handling, regular maintenance and servicing of the digital x-ray, ultrasound and all other radiology equipment when required.
• Work to ensure minimum requirements and recommendations of the regulatory authority ( Atomic Energy Council) are observed and ensure registration and licensing for operation of the digital x-ray system.
• Provide technical guidance on radiation safety precautions while handling x-ray machine to avoid risk of unnecessary exposure.
• Manage client flow, and prepare patients for radiology procedures.
• Consult appropriately with radiology specialists or physicians and ensure quality control for results issued to clients.
• Support capacity building of health workers in the use of radiology services.
• Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications.

• Diploma or Degree in Medical radiography
• Minimum of 2 years experience working in a radiology unit.
• Registered with the relevant regulatory agency.
